Dianne Simmons Grab holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Montclair State College. Dianne is a Certified Case Manager, a Certified Disability Manager, and a Certified Life Care Planner with training in Life Care Planning through the University of Florida and MediPro Seminars, LLC.
For over 40 years, Dianne has been providing rehabilitation services for people with various disabilities and their representatives, with a focus on individuals with brain injuries and their secondary injuries including orthopedic, amputations, burns, and behavioral concerns.
With this experience, in 2005 Dianne founded Simmons Grab & Associates, LLC and developed a network of experts to provide health care services consulting, life care planning, vocational evaluations, and Social Security determinations by working with attorneys, insurance companies, employers, facilities, third-party administrators, trust funds, and private individuals.
Dianne has taken an active role in the rehabilitation industry on a national level by serving on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP, 1997-2004); was the former editor of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals Journal of Life Care Planning (2015-2017); and, on the state level, by serving on the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Brain Injury Association (2000-2004). She also served on several committees and task forces including the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals Annual Conference as chair (2000-2006); Traumatic Brain Injury Medicaid Waiver Task Force; New Jersey Brain Injury Association Conference Planning Committee for over 22 years and served as co-chair (2001-2005); NARPPS (National Association of Rehabilitation Professionals in the Private Sector) Ethics and Standards Committee (1998); the New Jersey Case Management Society of America Regional Ethics Committee (1996); and served on the Boards of Directors for Padula Institute of Vision and Sage Rehab, Inc.
Dianne has also been published and provides presentations nationally and locally on “Ethics in Healthcare/Rehabilitation”, as well as brain injury, life care planning, and various other topics.
